Survey on essential emergency and critical care

As the COVID-19 pandemic has led to a surge of patients in hospitals worldwide, a new project has started with the aim of reducing preventable deaths among severely ill patients.

We, a group of clinicians and researchers from all over the world, are conducting a rapid survey* about Essential Emergency and Critical Care (EECC)** and we need your help! EECC is the most basic, effective care that should be given to all critically ill patients in all hospitals in the world. We need input from doctors, nurses, and other health professionals with experience from different fields and settings worldwide to reach consensus around the treatments & actions to include in EECC.

If you would like to take part in the 10-minute survey, you can participate until 8th November 2020. Access the survey. Many thanks in advance for your contribution.

Dr Tim Baker (member of the coalition’s Clinical Management of COVID-19 in Resource-limited Settings Working Group) and Dr Karima Khalid on behalf of the EECC team.
